The neighborhood’s development was influenced by the nearby Interlachen Country Club, which was founded in 1909 and played a key role in the growth and development of the surrounding area. Many of the early residents of Rolling Green were members of the country club, and the neighborhood’s close proximity to the club remains a defining feature to this day.

Over time, the neighborhood has seen a mix of new construction and remodeling, with many of the older homes being updated and expanded to meet the needs of modern families.

Rolling Green has also been home to several notable residents over the years, including former Vice President and 1984 Democratic presidential nominee Walter Mondale, who lived in the neighborhood for many years.
